Embodiment & Of Other

Poetics II.

By: A.R. Cisneros

We embody the ugly and guilt,

Even if the occupation is brief.

Yet we can realize of our other,

Of which is goodness and beauty.

In our interaction with our other,

We manifest,

Becoming with our actions and intentions.

We are given choice in our interaction.

A choice, an attempt to be.

In my attempts,

I hope to manifest goodness and beauty.

I have no say in its definition,

As it occurs through an innate form,

Of which I cannot control.

Only distort,

The image I am given of its form.
